Rooted in Love

Valentine's Day, February 14, 2001—I stepped into my first yoga class. The practice drew to me like a magnet and continues to enrich my life.

Yoga points you inward, to the truest part of yourself.

This connection to inner self is what draws me back to the mat, again and again. You may have started practicing yoga like me, for the physical benefits. Gradually, attention shifts inward—to the mental and spiritual benefits.

You start to feel peace of mind and peace of heart.

Yoga helps you awaken and connect to your true self. So yes, as corny as it sounds, it was fully appropriate I began this lifelong yoga journey on Valentine's Day—with love.
