Ignite Your Practice: Breath and Bandha, Saturday, April 29, 2-4pm
Breathing and bandha are deeply connected in the Ashtanga Yoga method. Learn how the energetic engagement of breath with bandha can light up your practice. These subtle yet powerful elements are key, giving lightness and strength (aka floating in/out of postures). We will take a close look at each, and how they work together seamlessly with movement. Find the deep inner strength of bandhas, and learn to move with ease in your practice.
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
–how breath, movement, and bandha work together
–about the pelvic floor and anatomy related to bandhas
–how to activate the bandhas during practice
–techniques to apply energetic awareness in fundamental postures
–yogic breathing and how to ride the wave of your breath during practice
–how practicing with breath and bandha can prevent injury
Located at Tula Yoga in St. Paul. I look forward to sharing these essential techniques for your practice. All levels welcome. Pre-registration required.
