Kristen graduated from two separate year long study programs at The Temple of Kriya Yoga (2004-2005) and Moksha Yoga Center (2007-2008) in Chicago, Illinois. She has studied and explored classical Hatha, Vinyasa, Anusara, and Iyengar Yoga.

In 2012, Kristen was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga in a workshop with Kino MacGregor soon after her second child was born. She felt the practice was healing for her on many levels, and has maintained a daily Ashtanga practice since.

After moving to the Twin Cities area in 2013, she began practicing with Ellie Kaufman Wannemacher, KPJAYI-Authorized teacher by Sharath Jois. In 2015, Kristen began an apprenticeship with Ellie at Ashtanga Yoga Minneapolis and continues to learn with her in the Mysore room. In 2016, she practiced with Sharath Jois in NYC while on his U.S. tour, and hopes to study at KPJAYI in Mysore, South India, soon.

She believes the healing benefits of yoga are invaluable and accessible to all. Kristen will continue to practice daily and study the tradition of yoga with gratitude, love, and devotion.
